After my injury in 1999, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to convince my parents to buy me a dog. I decided to get a doberman pinscher puppy, and named her Sheeva. She was with me from the beginning, and in 2008 I had to put her down due to cancer. It was absolutely the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.. Sheeva was my buddy.

Read more ...Other than riding a bike to school as a kid, I was never much of a cyclist growing up. But, at the age of 16 after becoming paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair I wanted to “go”….. I can’t explain where exactly I wanted to go, but I can tell you I felt like a caged animal with way too much energy/stress/anxiety, loathing to break out and go.
Read more ...This video was shot last month in December 2010 while visiting Aspen, Colorado to ski. A friend and I flew from South Florida into Denver around 10:00pm , and then proceeded to drive 3.5 hours to Aspen. This is a video of me at 4:00am, in a zombie-like state of mind, assembling a “KBG” sit-ski. Small price to pay, because we were actually able to wake up the next morning at 7:30am to catch first lift. Oh so sweet.
